The Brooks Family Track, located on the east side of the upper athletic fields, is a state-of-the-art composite track — visiting runners invariably remark on its “fast” feel — with the field events positioned around its edges.

The Brooks Family Track honors Alan Brooks ’55, his two sons, Fletcher ’89 and Ethan ’91, and his daughter Rebecca ’96, for their rich contribution to Westminster’s proud track tradition. The Brooks family members were all Westminster track captains and set school records before they moved on to captain their college teams and to win All-America honors in the sport.

A sign of our program’s success is that more than half of the 34 event records for the boys’ and girls’ teams have been broken in the past dozen seasons. Many of our athletes have gone on to compete with distinction on collegiate track teams. Over the past decade, Martlets have claimed multiple Founders League event wins and titles at the NEPSTA Division 2 Championships.

Westminster’s track athletes square off against 22 schools, including the fierce competition of the Founders League. Grit and Grace are the basics of team spirit. Our athletes give their best efforts to the program and are willing to try new events and support fellow athletes in their efforts.

More school records are expected to fall this season. Check the Westminster sports schedule, then come out and watch history in the making.
