    Most memorable experience at Westminster: I will never forget Scott Stevens getting the seniors in Memorial Hall up early on the morning of graduation. He took us out to Brookside Bagels for breakfast and then drove us around campus one last time to say “goodbye.” All of my teachers were excellent, but some that had a huge impact on my academic journey were Dave Hovey, Michael Cervas, Greg Marco and Scott Stevens. It says a lot about Westminster that I have also had the opportunity to call four of them colleagues. 
    Most rewarding aspect of your work: Getting to meet new and unique students every day and hearing their story.

    Admission tip: Ask any and all questions you may have!
    For me, belonging to a community means: knowing you’re part of something bigger than yourself.
    Spend a day with: Patrice Bergeron, my favorite player on the Boston Bruins when I was growing up. I would love to ask him questions about leadership, team culture, and how he consistently led with humility.
    Something surprising about me: I consider myself a bit of a homebody. I was the only person in my family to attend boarding school and likely the least expected to do so!

    Admissions tip: Remember that you have to live the experience every day. Finding the right community where you feel a sense of belonging is the goal!
    Personal motto: “Don't sweat the small stuff.”
    I am fascinated by: people's unique family traditions
    Spend the day with: Dolly Parton, her joy, kindness, talent and business acumen were one of a kind! 
    Something new I would love to learn to do: Garden - I have the opposite of a green thumb.
    For me belonging to a community means: Being surrounded by people who will lift you up on the bad days, celebrate the good, and motivate you to be at your best.
    Start a new trend: Live like it's 1990 and lose your cell phone 
    Fun Fact: I lived in Switzerland for a year.
    Most rewarding aspect of your work: Getting to meet amazing people from around the world who are at the start of their Westminster journey.

    For me, belonging to a community means: Being a part of something bigger than myself. It means feeling comfortable to be myself and surrounded by people I feel inspired and supported by.
    Fun fact: My husband, Brian Gerges, is a Westminster alumnus (class of 1996). I have heard so much about Westminster over the years and it is wonderful to now be a part of the community. 
    Favorite Westminster tradition: I am looking forward to experiencing Westminster’s many traditions myself!

    For me, belonging to a community means: Family. Everyone puts the larger group before themselves.
    Spend a Day With: My dad. 
    Something Surprising about me: I was homeschooled through 4th grade and grew up on a farm. 
    I am fascinated by: Organizational excellence and how high-performing teams build and sustain long-term organizational success.

    Something surprising about me: I love solving intricate jigsaw puzzles. We always have one going on our dining room table at home.

    Free Plane Ticket    : I would like to go to Africa because I want to help the less fortunate. I’ve only been there once and it was the best trip I’ve ever taken. Being around people who fight hard to survive is amazing to me. They have a different type of “grit” that’s hard to put into words.

    Fun Fact    : Received offers to play both Division I basketball and football.

    Home away from home: My family's cottage on Lake Ontario in Upstate NY
    Favorite Westminster event: I have two Westminster events that are my favorite. Cabaret and the Fourth Form Public Speaking Contest. I love seeing students step outside their comfort zones and surprise the community with their sometimes hidden talents. 
    Local Favorites: Stratton Brook State Park, Julien’s Farm Store, Popover
    Admission tip: Be yourself! There is a school for everyone, so keeping true to yourself and what is important to you during the interview and application process will help make sure you choose the best fit for you.
    If I Something new I would love to learn to do: I would learn to sew! I am actually teaching myself to sew now. I love to create and craft and am looking forward to being able to create homemade gifts and home goods for family and friends.
    Spend a day with: The band Mumford & Sons in a private backyard concert with my closest friends.
    Time travel (point in history you would return to): I would want to see the Beatles live in concert.

    Current home: West Hartford
    Favorite Westminster event: Opening Days. We get to know prospective families well during the admissions process and are so excited to have our incoming class arrive. Plus, it is great to have the whole community back together after summer adventures.
    Favorite place on campus: Armstrong Dining Hall. Not only is it an amazing building with beautiful views of Talcott Mountain, but it is also a great place to catch up with students, faculty and staff.
    Admissions tip: Make connections! Westminster is more than school – it’s a community, and we are excited to get to know you.
    Spend a day with: As a lifelong NPR listener and an attorney, I think it would be interesting to spend a day with Nina Totenberg, who has covered the U.S. Supreme Court for decades. Plus, I had the opportunity to work with her sister, who is now a U.S. District Judge, while in law school.
    Family story about me: I lived in Tokyo for a couple of years, but ended up having my son in Hong Kong during that time (it’s a long story!).
    Fun fact: I was a member of Colgate University’s first Varsity Women’s Ice Hockey Team.

    For me, belonging to a community means: feeling like you are a part of something bigger than yourself. It is the feeling of support and encouragement and the building of meaningful relationships.
    Most memorable Westminster moment: Winning a New England Ice Hockey Championship.

    Home away from home: I love the coast of southern Maine and exploring the greater Los Angeles area where our daughter lives.
    Favorite Westminster tradition: I always enjoy the Lawn Ceremony. It’s such an important rite of passage for the rising seniors. I love seeing the kids dressed up and watching the creative ways kids are pulled onto the lawn.
    Favorite place on campus: The bench overlooking the valley behind the Chapel and my garden.
    Local favorites: I love living in an area where there are so many beautiful trails where we can walk and hike. Our favorite restaurants are La Joya here in Simsbury and Artisan in West Hartford.
    Admissions tip: Be prepared when you visit to talk about yourself and the things in your life that are important to you. Our admissions counselors are wonderful and will make you feel right at home.
    Most rewarding aspect of your work: I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, listening to their stories and learning more about them, and how they found their way to Westminster.
    Spend day with: Mary Oliver, one of my favorite poets.
