Afternoon Arts
The afternoon program at Westminster provides students with opportunities to pursue their artistic passions with the same commitment and purpose as athletics. Whether performing on stage, creating original work, or leading creative publications, students spend their afternoons developing their talents while contributing to the cultural life of the school.

Theater & Dramat
Students may fulfill their afternoon commitment through Westminster’s renowned Dramat program as performers, members of the technical production team, or production stage managers for the annual fall play and winter musical.
Students who demonstrate exceptional dedication to Westminster theater earn prestigious honors recognizing their contributions:- Dramat (100 hours of service)
- Williams Hill Players (400 hours of service)

Dance
The Afternoon Dance Program allows students to deepen their training through technique, conditioning, choreography, and performance. Many participants also perform with Westminster’s Dance Ensemble, culminating in the annual spring dance concert. -
Music & Performance Opportunities
Music extends well beyond the classroom through student-led performances, collaborative productions, and community events that celebrate creativity across campus.

Student Performing Arts Collective Ensemble (S.P.A.C.E.)
S.P.A.C.E. empowers students to create original performances that blend theater, music, dance, and film. Students write scripts, compose music, choreograph dances, direct performances, and collaborate across artistic disciplines to produce original works each spring. -
Coffee House
Entirely student organized, Coffee House provides an informal evening of music, poetry, spoken word, comedy, storytelling, and other creative performances. Often held in conjunction with art exhibitions, Coffee House welcomes performers of every experience level. -
Spring Cabaret
The annual Spring Cabaret celebrates Broadway, film, and popular music through outstanding student performances featuring singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and actors under the guidance of Westminster’s performing arts faculty. -
Private Music Lessons
Students seeking additional instruction may study privately with accomplished voice and instrumental instructors. Many perform in concerts, Coffee Houses, Chapel services, and even alongside professional musicians in the pit orchestra for Westminster’s winter musical.
Publications & Sports Media
Westminster offers students unique opportunities to combine creativity with storytelling through photography, publishing, and digital media.The Martlet
The Martlet, Westminster’s student literary and arts magazine, showcases poetry, fiction, essays, photography, and visual artwork created by students and faculty. Student editors oversee submissions, design, and publication while gaining valuable experience in creative leadership and editorial production.Sports Media
Westminster’s Sports Media program gives students the opportunity to experience the fast-paced world of athletic storytelling. Whether photographing championship moments, operating cameras for livestream broadcasts, producing podcasts, creating social media content, or broadcasting live athletic contests, students play an important role in showcasing Westminster athletics.Working alongside faculty mentors, students gain real-world experience in photography, videography, broadcasting, journalism, and digital media while building professional portfolios and developing skills that prepare them for college and future careers.
