  • Golf - Varsity Boys’

Following the remarkable 34-year tenure of Greg Marco, Head Coach Ulrich leads the Boys’ Varsity team as it competes in the Founders League and the Western New England Prep School League. The team’s home course is Hopmeadow Country Club, an outstanding private course (Par 72, 6915 yards, 73.9/136) designed by the renowned architect Geoffey Cornish and located just two miles from campus. The team is lucky to enjoy an excellent practice facility and a beautifully manicured course on a daily basis, with two golf simulators on campus for use in the off season.

Competitions include 9-hole matches against 1-3 other schools, the 9-hole Suffield Invitational against ten other schools, and three 18-hole tournaments — the 16-team Western New England Invitational, the 9-team Founders League Tournament, and the 25-team Kingswood Invitational Tournament (KIT). The team has consistently been among the stronger programs among New England prep schools, with highlights including Founders League Tournament wins in 1988, 2005 and 2019, a KIT title in 2005, and consecutive wins at the Suffield Invitational in 2025 and 2026.

A significant number of team members have gone on to play at the collegiate level, joining Division I programs at Boston College, UConn, Davidson, Delaware, Indiana, Northwestern, Richmond, and Tulane, and Division III programs at Colby, Denison, F&M, Gettysburg, Kenyon, Middlebury, Skidmore, Trinity, Tufts, Washington & Jefferson, and Washington & Lee.
