Martlets Fall to AOF

The cross-country team raced another home meet versus Avon Old Farms this Friday on Westminster’s Parents’ Weekend and fell short to Avon, 15-45. Avon, as one of the top programs in the league, allowed our runners to see and compete against runners that they are capable of becoming.

The race saw Charlie Zhang (’29) as the first Martlet to cross the finish line in 6th place overall. Also scoring for Westminster were Michael Wang (’27), Trey Ferretti (’30), Asher Squibb (’29), and Leo Song (’30), in that order.

GRIT & Grace Award – The award this week goes to Trey Ferretti (’30), who with the help of Michael Wang (’27) pacing, was able to put together a strong performance on a very difficult course, persevering through the difficult moments even when it became overwhelming.
