Martlets Shutout AOF

The Martlets welcomed the Winged Beavers to Simsbury for their second match in a five-game series. On a hot, buggy day, Westminster struggled to find momentum against the Winged Beavers' defense, but they kept at it and pulled off a tight win. Max Matthews ‘30 scored the lone goal, dribbling through Avon’s entire defense before drilling the ball into the net’s lower right-hand corner. Tyler Hassett ‘30 was tremendous in goal, making several key saves to hold the lead. Westminster showed strong intensity and effort in the final minutes as Avon pushed to even the score.
