Martlets Fall to AOF

The Martlets faced Avon Old Farms (AOF) on Wilbraham Field in a fast-paced first half, with both teams competing fiercely. Jordan Pham ’27 delivered a strong defensive performance, showcasing his ability to tackle, clear the ball with well-placed punts, and move play forward. Despite the team’s efforts, a lapse in marking during a corner kick allowed AOF to find the back of the net and take the lead.
Throughout the game, Will Jones ’28 continued to work tirelessly, covering the field and searching for opportunities to create attacking chances. However, amid the hard-fought battle, AOF found the net once again, extending its lead to 2-0. In the final 20 minutes, Pau Cristia Gil ’30 made his presence felt with skillful movement and confident play, creating additional opportunities for the Martlets to get back into the game. The match concluded with heightened tension between the two teams.

The Grit and Grace Award is presented to Will Jones ’28 for his commitment and determination throughout the game. Despite the result, he continued to work hard, cover ground, and compete until the final whistle.
