Martlets Draw on the Road

The Martlets and Bearcats battled in a wild, back-and-forth contest on Wednesday, with five goals scored in the opening 20 minutes. Coslyn Bardy ’28 opened the scoring for Westminster and added a second later in the half, while Hotchkiss responded with three first-half goals to take a lead into the break.
The Black and Gold showed tremendous fight in the second half, as Maeve Nicholas ’29 finished a cross from Lylah Leigner ’29 to tie the game before Veyda Cruz ’30, also assisted by Leigner, put the Martlets ahead 4-3. Hotchkiss eventually equalized, and both teams had opportunities in the final moments, but neither could find a winner. The thrilling contest ended in a 4-4 draw.
