Martlets Dominate on Senior Day

It was a beautiful fall afternoon on the Hill for Senior Day during Parents Weekend, providing the perfect backdrop to honor nine incredible Martlets: Piper Chaisson, Hannah Coccaro, Natalie Czop, Caroline Gauvin, Izzie Leone, Olivia Martin, Ellie Smith, and managers Nia Amora Morgan and Melody El-Amin Stewart.
The Martlets controlled much of the play and showed patience as they worked to break down KO’s low-block defensive strategy. Their persistent pressure created dangerous attacking opportunities, resulting in two own goals off a Coslyn Bardy ’28 cross late in the first half and a corner kick delivered by Olivia Martin ’27 early in the second half.
Westminster continued to build on its momentum in the second half, finding the back of the net twice more through two beautiful sequences. Naomi Diffenderfer ’30 finished off a cross from Lylah Leigner ’29 before Hadley Williams ’30 capped off the scoring with a finish assisted by Janna Kissi ’30. It was a full team effort and a fitting way to celebrate an outstanding senior class of 2027 in front of their families and supporters on a beautiful afternoon at home.
