Martlets Get a Road Win

The Martlets controlled possession from the opening whistle on Saturday but struggled to capitalize on their chances in the final third. Westminster finally broke through with just over 20 minutes remaining when Izzie Leone ’27 converted a penalty kick after a handball in the box.
Despite controlling much of the play, the Black and Gold held onto their narrow lead until the final two minutes, when the offense came alive. Veyda Cruz ’30 found the back of the net off a corner kick from Callie Graby ’28, finishing a scrappy opportunity before Cruz turned provider just seconds later, delivering a beautiful ball for Coslyn Bardy ’28 to finish. The late flurry gave the Martlets two insurance goals to secure the win on the road.
