Martlets Race KO and Williston

The boys’ cross country team visited Williston this afternoon and left with eight runners setting season best times despite only having a season low sixteen Martlets toe the line. Sean Tang (’28), Shangkuan Yang (‘28), and Ethan He (’28) set season best times while Andrew Ma (’27), Allston Chen (’29), Asher Li (’30), Trey Ferretti (’30), and Asher Squibb (’29) set personal best times in the 5k race. What an excellent display of hard work and dedication paying off!
Although the team lost to both KO and Williston, the boys fought hard to put their best foot forward on the trails and show grit and pride. The top speedster of the day was none other than Charlie Zhang (’29) who has earned the fastest Martlet crown now for the second time this year – way to go Charlie!
The Grit & Grace Award goes to Michael Wang (’27) who sacrificed his race to help Trey Ferretti (’30) earn a personal best time and encouraged Trey to let loose a lightning fast sprint finish across the line!
