Martlets Place 5th Overall

The boys’ cross country squad delivered in Westminster's very own invitational race, the 18th annual Richard Miller Invitational 5k! With eight teams competing for glory, the boys' team ended up in fifth place overall. Michael Wang (’27) and Charlie Zhang (’29) finished seventh and eighth overall respectively, a great result for two of the team’s hardest working runners. Asher Squibb (’29) and Trey Ferretti (’30), and Leo Song (’30) finished as the other three scoring runners for Westminster with strong races of their own.
In the Junior Varsity race, Jason Xie (’28) led the way as the top Martlet in 27th place. A big shout out goes to the entire team that came together and made the course look great, very runnable, and for the first time in years a course where not a single runner got lost!
The Grit & Grace Award goes to Jason Xie (’28) who had a tremendous week of training and had a terrific race that really paid off in a strong result on Saturday, showing just how hard work, dedication, and perseverance really do pay off.
