Martlets Roll in Win

The Martlets traveled to Avon on a cold and windy Saturday afternoon for their third of five games against Avon Old Farms. Many of the Winged Beavers had already flown to their home nests after parents weekend, so they were down several key players, making the game less competitive than previous matches. Westminster played with great fundamentals in the first half, displaying their best passing of the season. These passes led to lots of goals. Nolan Baum ‘30, Nate Mezheritskiy '30, and Greyson Varao ‘30 each scored two goals, while Nate Falco ‘30 and RJ Hall ‘30 each scored one. Tyler Hassett ‘30 was great in goal again, making an especially impressive diving save early in the game to keep the momentum with the Martlets. Westminster will get back to work this week to prepare for the perennially tough Granby Bears.
