Martlets Get a Win over Knights

The Martlets traveled to Salisbury School expecting a comfortable win, but the challenge began early when their opponents found the back of the net to open the scoring. The early setback shifted the tempo of the game, prompting the Martlets to respond with greater urgency and more organized play. Their efforts paid off when Luke Champoux ‘28 delivered an assist to Hunter Grace ‘27, who capitalized on the opportunity to score the Martlets’ first goal and level the match.

The second half brought an intense battle between both teams, with several close scoring opportunities at either end. Once again, Hunter Grace ‘27 rose to the occasion, challenging Salisbury’s defense and winning possession before finding the back of the net to score his second goal of the game and give the Martlets the lead. Despite the difficult conditions, the Martlets fought tirelessly to secure the victory. The muddy, slippery field made for a physically demanding contest, with frequent slides and challenging tackles, particularly in the second half. Through it all, the Martlets remained determined and resilient to see out the win.

The Grit and Grace Award is presented to Jordan Pham ‘27 for his outstanding performance and commitment to the team. Jordan’s vocal leadership helped keep his teammates focused, organized, and locked in throughout the game.
