Martlets Dominate on the Road

The Martlets came out on fire Saturday afternoon at Choate, nearly finding the back of the net in the opening minute off a corner kick. Just six minutes later, Westminster converted on another corner, as Taylor Schreibman ’28 rose at the back post to head home a beautiful service from Callie Graby ’28.
The Black and Gold continued to apply pressure throughout the first half, controlling much of the possession and creating several quality chances. Naomi Diffenderfer ’30 doubled the lead with a composed finish after a great build-up and pass from Veyda Cruz ’30, sending the Martlets into halftime with a 2–0 advantage.
Westminster carried that same energy into the second half, finding the back of the net less than two minutes after the restart when Coslyn Bardy ’28 finished off a pass from Hadley Williams ’30. Choate battled back and put the Martlets under significant pressure, but the back line of Hannah Coccaro ’27, Olivia Martin ’27, Schreibman, and Graby stood strong and weathered the storm. Choate finally broke through with just four minutes remaining, but the Martlets held on to secure a big Founders League win on the road.
