Brockelman Student Center & Grill

A Hub of Activity

Brockelman Student Center and Grill opened in January 2018. The student center is located in the heart of the campus in Cushing Hall. The center has foosball, billiards, air hockey, two wall-mounted televisions (one can be used for gaming) and a lounge area that is often a hub of activity after school and on the weekends. It offers a state-of-the-art Sonos sound system. The center seats around 60 on everything from couches to tables and chairs and pouffe seats.

Students can sit near the gas fireplace or at one of the high tables that also have charging stations. The light fixtures are custom made and the raised-wood oak paneling is floor to ceiling. Despite the up-to-date additions, the design is in keeping with turn of the century architecture of the rest of the building.

Students can also satisfy cravings at the Brockelman Grill located in the student center. The Grill offers snack items like coffee, fresh fruit, yogurt, smoothies, bagel breakfast sandwiches (made with local favorite Brookside Bagels) and chicken wings. The Brockelman Student Center is open unless it is being cleaned. Grill hours are Monday through Friday: 9 to 11 a.m. and 7 to 10 p.m.; Saturday: 7 to 11 p.m. and Sunday: 2 to 5 p.m. Purchases may be made using a debit or credit card and with their MyKidsSpending account on their student ID.
