Parents Committee

Building Community on Williams Hill

The Westminster Parents Committee helps strengthen the partnership between families and the school while fostering meaningful connections among parents across the Westminster community. Guided by Westminster’s core values of Community, Character, Balance, and Involvement, the Parents Committee provides opportunities for families to engage with one another, stay informed about life on Williams Hill, and contribute their time, talents, and perspectives in support of the school’s mission.

Whether you are a new parent or have been part of the Westminster community for years, the Parents Committee offers a welcoming way to become more involved and connected.

Membership & Engagement

All Westminster parents are invited and encouraged to participate in the Parents Committee. Each year, approximately 120 families engage as Parents Committee members. Through meetings, volunteer opportunities, and special events, parents gain insight into school priorities, hear directly from faculty and administrators, and develop meaningful relationships with other Westminster families.

Parents Committee meetings take place three times each year—once on campus during the fall term and twice virtually during the winter and spring terms. Guest speakers provide updates on academic programs, student life, strategic initiatives, and other topics of interest to parents.
In addition to formal meetings, Parents Committee members support the Westminster community by:
  • Attending athletic contests, performances, and campus events
  • Participating in local and regional Westminster gatherings
  • Staying informed through school communications and social media
  • Serving as ambassadors for Westminster in their communities
  • Supporting admissions efforts by sharing their Westminster experience
  • Contributing to The Westminster Fund and other philanthropic initiatives

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is one of the most meaningful ways to engage with Westminster and connect with fellow parents. Whether you have a few hours to offer or are looking for a deeper level of involvement, there are opportunities to match a wide range of interests, experiences, and schedules.
