Parents & Family Weekend

Parents and Family Weekend is a special opportunity to experience campus life alongside your child. Over the course of the weekend, you'll have the opportunity to engage in teacher conferences, watch our teams compete, learn about opportunities for students outside the classroom, and enjoy time with fellow families. These days are designed to celebrate your student’s journey and help you connect more deeply with the people and programs shaping their Westminster experience. We look forward to welcoming you for this special weekend of community and connection.

    Thursday, October 22

    International Families ISO Panel
    International families are invited to connect with faculty, experienced Westminster parents, and students for helpful insights and practical guidance as they prepare for the year ahead.

    Family Weekend Welcome Reception
    Hosted by the Westminster Parents Committee, this is an informal gathering to welcome families arriving for the weekend and reconnect with fellow Westminster parents.

    Enjoy an evening showcasing the talent and creativity of Westminster's student musicians and performers.

    Families who wish to enjoy dinner on campus are welcome to join us in the dining hall. Food trucks and grilling and chilling will be available at the athletic fields. Others wishing to take their students out are welcome to do so. Here is a list of area restaurants. (Note that dormitory check-in is at 9 p.m.).

  • Frequently Asked Questions

    Will I meet my child’s advisor during the weekend?
    You will be able to schedule a conference time with your child's advisor. 

    When can my child depart campus?
    Third, Fourth and Sixth Form students can depart campus after their last commitment on Friday. Fifth Form students are required to attend the College Counseling program on Saturday from 9-11 a.m. Students are welcome to depart campus after this program.

    Is there a list of area hotels and restaurants?

    Do we need to sign up for weekend events?
    To help with planning, we will be sharing a form at the beginning of the fall term so you can let us know which weekend events you plan to attend.

    Are pets allowed on campus?
    Pets on campus are not permitted inside any buildings, must be leashed at all times, and remain under the direct supervision of a family member over the age of 18. It is expected that families will promptly clean up after their pets.

    Are there class visits during Fall Parents & Family Weekend? 
    The focus of Fall Parents & Family Weekend is teacher and advisor conferences. Parents will have the opportunity to visit classes during Winter Parents & Family Weekend, February 19-20, 2027.

    What is the departure transportation plan for students for Fall Long Weekend?
    Form Deans will communicate with all students about how to plan logistics for the weekend.

Following Parents & Family Weekend, students may depart campus after their last commitment.
Boarding students are due back on corridor by 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27. Fall term classes resume Wednesday morning, October 28.
