A Tough Battle
The Martlets traveled to Deerfield for a tough battle against the big green. With only one sub, most players didn’t get a chance to rest all game. Midway through the first half, after dominating play, Celia Sotirhos ‘21 scored, assisted by Halli Keenan ‘21. The team kept the effort up with great midfield play from Susannah Van Leuven ‘20 and Simonne Ponce ‘21, but couldn’t hold off an energized Deerfield early in the second half. With the score 1-1, the Martlets saw countless corners, played well defensively, but couldn’t find the back of the cage again.
