Martlets Go 1-1, Smith Wins First Race as a Martlet

In its second home meet in a row, Westminster hosted K-O and Williston and came away with a convincing win against the Wyverns while falling to the Wildcats. Annabelle Smith '21 had another fantastic race and was the first girl across the line, her debut win as a Martlet. Bethany Winters '20 looked strong as well and almost picked off a Williston runner at the line. Maggie Chaves '19 continues to look stronger and stronger every week and came in third for the Black and Gold. Michelle Wu '21 finished right behind her as did Liz Casey '18, rounding out the top five. Gabi Drumm '18 moved another rung up the ladder finishing sixth followed by Jennifer Jerand '19 in the top seven runners. The Martlets will have one more chance to run at home in two weeks but before that they will travel to Kent to run on a challenging but scenic course.
