Excellent Showing

Though the final did not go the way of the Martlets, the boys opened up the season with an excellent showing against an always-formidable Deerfield. Kyle Forsyth ‘17 played well in net, giving Westminster a chance to stay in the contest and helped control the momentum. Clearing was shaky at times, but this is a scrappy bunch and they were able to make the most of unsettled situations. With the lead for most of the game, it wasn’t until the final minutes of the game that Deerfield tied. Hopefully this will springboard the team into a good season. Choate is up next.
