Team Controls the Game

The girls were in control of this match from the get-go, finding the net in the first two minutes off of the foot of Susie Mahoney '20. They would score four more times in the first half to put the game out of reach. Maddie Dwyer '18 and Eve Cathcart '20 each scored once and Caroline McCausland '19 struck twice, the second a left-footed rocket from a tight angle. In the second half, the Martlets stepped up their passing game, but many good chances ended with shots turned away by the Bears' keeper. The lone goal came from Mahoney on a breakaway. Fine performances were turned in by Lizzy McCoy '20, who took a turn at center back; Tori Kline '19, who showed great poise in central midfield; and Cecelia Raymond '20, who was effective both in possession and as a breakaway threat. The girls will look to carry the good momentum into their final week of play.
