Second Girls' Lacrosse has another big offensive day to defeat Ethel Walker

It took a while for the offense of the Seconds Girls' Lacrosse team to rev up in the damp and cold weather, but once they did, they grabbed control. The Martlet attack came out a bit cautiously, and the first few goals, scored by Lily Farriss '19, were the result of free positions. Soon the attack kicked into gear, pushing the pace of the game and making good connections in the midfield transition. Greta Baker '19 played a great game at center and, with the help of midfielder McKenna Burrelle '17, the pair were able gain control of nearly all of the draws. The Martlets led 8-2 at the half and came out of the huddle on fire. A slew of assisted goals resulted from the uptempo play of the second half. Farriss finished the day with seven goals and five assists, Jill Parsons '19 netted three goals, two assists, Greta Baker '19 and Shannon Keefe '19 each scored two, Cynnie White '17 grabbed one goal and one assist, and Abby Newman '16 scored once. For the next game on Wednesday, the Martlets travel to Wallingford to take on the Wild Boars of Choate Rosemary Hall.
