Great Win For Martlets

Putting their will to the test, the Martlets earned a hard-fought victory against a physical and quick Salisbury team. With temperatures dropping into the 30s, the team faced adversity and remained in good spirits and practiced some gamesmanship on the sidelines. The Martlets led in the first quarter, though the game was tied 2-2 at the half. Salisbury mounted an excellent offensive quarter in the third, yet Westminster scored a timely goal to take the lead before the final quarter. With two in the final quarter, Westminster sealed the victory. Defense was strong and effective, and despite a flurry of penalties, the Martlets were able to hang on to the lead. Teddy Batchelder '16 and Reid Yenor '16 led the charge in front of Austen Pope '14 and Max Powers '17, who again stood strong between the pipes. Mac McCormick '16, Jake Beizer '15, Mac Larned '16, Sawyer Tracy '15, and Swanson notched five to earn the W.
