Martlets Play Well Together

Wednesday's game against Choate consisted of a balanced attack in all zones of the field. Effective defensive communication and support benefited from the strong clearing game established by the midfield. The Martlet attack moved the ball well in the half field game, and continued to work on the fundamentals the team will need looking ahead to a stretch of tough opponents. Good things happen when this group plays together, placing team above self. Choate's goalie played well throughout the game, coming up with important stops to keep them within reach. The Black and Gold offense proved a bit too much in the second half, and scoring came from a  variety of players with Chris Swanson '17 leading the charge with two tallies. Mac McCormick '16, George Brown '15, Mac Larned '16, Jake Beizer '15, and David Hagen '16 also contributed. Max Powers '17 and Trent Lefler '16 were steady, making well-timed saves and quarterbacking great clears.
