Martlets Stage Comeback For Big Win

Henry Anderson '14 made 12 saves and Ryan Seymour '15 scored 3 goals to lead Westminster past powerful Salisbury in a game as close as the score suggests.  Salisbury took a 5-1 lead into the half but the Martlets scored 2 in the first 90 seconds of the third quarter to begin their comeback.  Westminster eventually tied it at 8 on a Mark Ellis '13 goal after a big steal at the midfield, and Danny O'Connell '13 netted the game-winner with 1:14 left on the clock.  Westminster's close D of Alec Dunn '13, Ryan Nardi '13, and Aidan Keohane '13 helped seal the win with a big stop in the remaining time.  Vinny Gisonti '13 earned the game ball in his first varsity game because of his inspiring hustle at the midfield.
