Martlets Face Tough Big Green

As the score indicates, Westminster got outplayed in Deerfield, MA.  The Martlets played fast but sloppy lacrosse, failing to finish on some good opportunities early, unlike the hosts who shot better (and more often).  Westminster turned the ball over 4 of the first 7 possessions and could not earn consistency at the FO, forcing the Martlets to play more D than they had hoped.  The Big Green are a deep, talented team that is ahead in overall preparation, and it was a good reminder of how much the team has to work on.  Brian Smyth '16 had 8 GBs and Tristan Rai '14 went 4 and 1 scoring while Angelo Hunt '14 and Henry Anderson '14 combined for 8 saves.
