Martlets Pull Away For Win

This game was much closer than the final score would indicate.  Westminster led throughout and was able to pull away in the last five minutes.  Noah Fosse-Greiner '16 sparked a first half run that broke the game open after a 19-19 tie.  Behind Fosse-Greiner and the quick hands of Jack Werner '16 on defense, Westminster led 26-21 at the break.  In the second half, Cade Von Gal '14 and Jack Rubino '13 took the game over.  Christian Barral-Arteta '13 fed many of his season high eight assists to Von Gal and Rubino was unstoppable underneath the basket.  Fosse-Greiner and Werner put the game away with five straight points late in the half.  Rubino, Von Gal, and Fosse-Greiner finished with 17, 15, and 14 points respectively.  In addition, all sixteen players contributed to this victory.  Henry Anderson '14 and Evan Yenor '13 controlled the boards and Werner and Joey Oh '15 were solid in the backcourt.
