Martlets Have Good Outing Against Tough Team

The Martlets faced a talented and physically mature Pride in Pawling, NY.  The game was close until T-P went on a 7-0 run to end the first half with a 26-12 lead.  The Martlets stormed back at the beginning of second half and came within seven at 24-31.  The Pride hit some shots and three point plays to finish with the victory, 52-36.  Carl Doucette '16 led the second half comeback with two quick buckets.  Doucette and Scott Williams '16 and Evan Yenor '13 led the Martlets with six rebounds each.  Noah Fosse-Greiner '16 had a solid game with three rebounds, three assists, and nine points.  Joey Oh '15 had two baskets in the first half to keep the Martlets close.  But the game belonged to Jack Werner '16.  Werner led all players with six steals.  Werner also was four for six from the field, including two of three from beyond the arc.  Werner led all Martlet scorers with fourteen points - including all of his last four free throw attempts.  The Martlets played well against a tough Pride team.
