Martlets Victorious In Duel With T-P

Will Gould '12 had 4 GBs and 1 assist, and Dillon Tiner '12 grabbed 7 GBs leading the Martlets to a hard-fought win at Pawling, NY.  The host Pride, coming off a big win versus Deerfield, had the momentum in the first half going out to a 3-1 lead early in the second and held it at 4-2 at the break.  Westminster dug in, however, and scored 4 times unanswered to lead 6-4 after 3 quarters.  LSM Tim Lyons '12 helped create numerous T-P turnovers between RLs and Westminster continued to hold the momentum stretching the lead to 7-4 with 9 minutes to go.  Gordon Santry '12 had some big saves, while Greg Pietroforte '12 and Alec Dunn '13 were big on the clears, but T-P is too talented to go away and they came back late in the game scoring 3 in the last 4:51.  The Martlets held on, nevertheless, to get to 5-2 on the season.
