Martlets Dominate in Season Opener

Third Boys' Hockey opened the season in convincing fashion with a 7-2 victory over a skilled Berkshire squad.  The Martlets broke the ice when Ryan Hallisey ’10 (1g, 2a) netted the inaugural goal of the 2008-09 season at 4:12 of the first period.  Casey Bitterli ’10 followed suit just 12 seconds later to give the footless birds a two goal shift.  This would be the first of three for Bitterli as he finished the day with his first Westminster career hat trick as well as a four point day (3g, 1a).  It was all Westminster from that point on as Tucker Brumley ‘11 and Robbie Hamblett ‘11 got in on the act in the first and second period.    Will Stevens ’12, Harry Wise ’11, and Tim Welles ’11 all tallied assists.  The Black and Gold take on Rumsey Hall this Wednesday at home.
