Second Straight Shutout

After a slow first period, Westminster regrouped at halftime and played stronger and cleaner field hockey.  Three minutes before the break, Jamie McComb '09 crossed the ball to Kate Sullivan '08 who scored the opening goal from the left post.  In the second half, the Martlets improved their hustle, communication, and accuracy and were able to mount effective pressure on the Ethel Walker goal.  After receiving the ball from Sullivan '08, Izzie Wragg '09 scored on a beautiful slap shot.  Halley Cruice '11 netted the final goal of the afternoon on an assist from Emma Pinney '11.  Tiff Liu '10 had a perfect game in the goal, saving all four shots that she faced.
