Steady Play Takes the Day

In their first home game, Second Field Hockey worked hard in the heat against Kent.  The Lady Martlets jumped out to an early 2-0 lead with both goals scored by Whitney Fitzpatrick '09 and assisted by Halley Cruice '11.  Kent battled back and brought the game to 2-1 at halftime.  Westminster's strong play in the second half showcased smart passes and better ball movement.  Julia Simons '09 and Kelly Cheng '08 scored the final goals to clinch the win.  Throughout the game, Juliette McComb '09 and Daley O'Herron '07 anchored the defense while Sarah Shanfield '08 and Tiff Liu '10 each had 4 saves in the goal.
