Westminster Defeats MacDuffie

Christi Cahill ’06 hit a long home run and pitched four outstanding innings to lead Westminster to a 16 -1 victory over MacDuffie in Springfield, Massachusetts. Cahill struck out seven and combined with Mandy Hyne ’07 to no-hit MacDuffie. Bethany Dymarczyk ’08 had a huge day at the plate, going 4 for 4, with two singles, a double, triple, and 4 RBIs. Nicole Palazzo ’08 and Hyne had three hits apiece and each drove in two runs to help spark the Westminster attack. Kate Philip ’06 and Corinne Werner ’09 made some fine plays defensively for the Martlets, who were victorious for the fifth time in the last six games.
