Martlets Defeat Pelicans 6-1
Westminster had a strong showing this afternoon at Loomis Chaffee beating the Pelicans 6-1. The Martlets came out flying and jumped out to an early 3-0 lead. They didn't turn back from then on and ended up playing a solid second and third period dominating play in all three zones. Jay Saraceno '07 had a hat trick with two assists from Ben Smith '06, Nick Pitsikoulis '07.
Evan Carriere '07 netted two with the help of two assists from Alex Anderson '07 and Aric Forfar '06 and Ryan Shamshoum '07. Pitsikoulis also netted a goal with an assist from Saraceno. Bryce Shattie '06 came up big a few times and ended up making 22 saves on the day. The Martlets are home this Saturday night at 7pm to face Berkshire.
