Martlets Defeat Pelicans 4-1

Westminster battled a tough Loomis Chaffee team this evening in front of a large home team crowd. Loomis got on the board first just 11 seconds into the game on a flunky goal. Westminster then scored the next four goals to beat the Pelicans 4-1. Nick Pitsikoulis '07 scored the first two goals for Westminster with assists from Ben Smith '06 and Ryan Shamshoum '07 on the first goal and assists from Casey Fazekas '06 and Myles Miller '06 on the second.

In the third period, Shamshoum scored the third goal with assists from Jon Wolter '06 and Ollie Koo '08. Smith tallied the forth goal with assists from Pitsikoulis and Koo. The Martlets played a very sound, solid defensive game tonight and only allowed 10 shots on goal. The team would like to thank the community for their support this evening, it was much appreciated.
