Westminster Defeats Canterbury in Close, High Scoring Game

Westminster traveled to New Milford this afternoon to take on the Saints of Canterbury. In a bit of a shootout the Martlets emerged victorious 7-5. Westminster jumped out to the always dangerous 3-0 lead just minutes into the game. Canterbury battled back and the first period with Westminster in the lead by two goals. Senior captain Ben Smith '06 tallied four goals and three assists this afternoon. Other goal scorers for Westmister; Aric Forfar '06, Nick Pitsikoulis '07, Casey Fezekas '06. Bryce Shattie '06, once again, made some huge saves throughout the course of the game allowing the Martlets to never lose the lead and get out of Canterbury with the victory. Up next for Westminster is Loomis- Chafee at home this Saturday night at 7pm.
