Westminster Loses to Taft

In a low scoring, tight, defensive game Taft defeated Westminster in a Founder's League contest. Taft (5-3) and ranked 4th in New England scored late in the first and second periods to take a take a two goal lead into the third period. Westminster (5-4-2 and ranked 9th) continued to press and scored their only goal with 8 minutes left in the game. Westminster pulled their goalie for an extra attacker in the minutes of the game. Taft scored on the open net to get the important win. Ryan Shamshoum '07 scored the lone Westminster goal after taking a pass from David Earl '06 and sending a slap shot off the post and into the net. Bryce Shattie '06 made several tough saves to keep Westminster in the game.
