Martlets Get Home W over Williston

Melody El-Amin '27 had three hits and six RBIs to lead Westy to an important 7-5 win at home against Williston. Natalie House '29 pitched well and showed tremendous grit against a strong Wildcat lineup.The Martlets jumped out to a quick start in the first inning. Lily Shuster '27 singled and advanced to second when Gabby de la Fe '26 walked. El-Amin then blasted a three run homer over the left field fence. It was a 3-2 game until the fourth inning, when hits by El-Amin, House, de la Fe, and Jane Curtiss '28 expanded the Martlet lead to 5-2. Defensively, Westminster made outstanding plays in the field throughout the game. Shuster and de la Fe combined to make six important catches in the outfield, while Curtiss and Caitlyn Eaton '28 were terrific at shortstop and first base. El-Amin caught another exceptional game behind the plate.
