Martlets Split Tri-Match

The Martlet girl golfers traveled to Watertown CC to take on Taft and Ethel Walker’s. In spite of some improved play, the girls were no match for the powerful Taft squad (the Taft #1 shot a 1-under par 35). Fortunately, they were able to come away with their first victory of the season against Ethel Walker’s. Highlights for Westminster included a solid 5&4 win at #2 by Catherine Knauf ‘27, a hard-fought tie at #3 by Bea duPont ‘29, and a big 4&3 win at #4 by Sophia Lazor ‘27 (playing in her first ever match). It was nice to see the girls get in the win column and to witness their improved play and increasing confidence.
