Martlets Fall to Eaglebrook

The Martlets traveled to the great state of Massachusetts to take on Eaglebrook this afternoon. Despite the threat of rain, it ended up being a perfect day for tennis. Although the Martlets  lost, we played some good tennis. Highlights of the day were two singles matches: Zach Li ‘27 and Blake Balavender ‘29. Both won their singles matches in down-to-wire tie-break matches that included nail-biting rallies with Zach and epic come-back heroics from Blake. Other matches down the singles and doubles ladder put up valiant efforts against a talented Eaglebrook. And we even got to enjoy some post-match pizza with our hosts! Our next match is Wednesday against the Boars of Choate at home.
