Martlets Defeat St. Mark's

The girls took to the road again, heading up to Massachusetts for what has become one of the most consistently competitive matches on the schedule. This time the Martlets had the edge, coming away with a 6-1 victory, with all of the wins coming at 3-0.. Sophia Lazor ‘27 was dominant at #1. Elle Wilson ‘26 took a while to warm up (literally, after a cold bus ride), but was surgical in closing her match out at #2. Marti Jaramillo ‘27 was her usual unyielding self at #3. Chase Hager ‘26 survived a close first game, then did a great job of making her opponent run at #5. Emily Fonner ‘26 used a wide variety of shots to finish off her points at #6. And the court coverage of Natasha Johnson ‘27 left her opponent few ways to steal a point at #7. Shout-out to Anna Min ‘26, who agreed to play twice to accommodate unequal numbers and brought home a four-game win in exhibition play.
