Martlets Fall to Williston

After a two-win week, the Martlets were not able to replicate a similar level of success in today’s match up with Williston. From the jump, the visitors hit a quick 3 pointer, which was only just the beginning. The Wildcats would go on to hit nine 3 pointers, punishing the Martlets when they failed to close out on their top shooters. On the other end, Westminster’s shots were not falling. Kaitlyn Buda ‘27, Gianna Monaco ‘27, and Delia Lockwood ‘26 got several good looks at the basket, but the ball would not go down. Westminster also struggled to execute their sets and generated too many unnecessary turnovers to keep the game close. On the positive, Chloe Donovan ‘29 made valuable use of her minutes, hitting a deep jump shot, playing aggressive defense, and helping crash the boards on both ends – and was awarded the team chain for her efforts. The Martlets will get back to work with two days of practice before their next game against Miss Porter’s on Saturday.
