Martlets Fall to Bearcats

The Martlets showed a lot of grit against a good Hotchkiss team.  The game was back and forth the entire game. In the first half, no one went up more than 6 points.  Both teams were well coached and executed the game plan.  Hotchkiss led by 3 at half 35-32.  In the second half,  the Martlets went on several runs in a tight battle.  Julien Wiggins ‘27 led all scorers with 26 points.  Ethan Griffin ‘26 also had 20 points and 14 rebounds on the day.  In second half, the Martlets took a brief lead to go up by 2.  In the last minutes Hotchkiss made a clutch basket.  After going down by 3 in the last 30 seconds, the Martlets had one last chance to tie the game.  However, we came up short on a shot that went in and out.  We will head to Salisbury next Wednesday.
