Another big win!

The Martlets performed exceptionally well in their game against Taft, dominating from the start. The team exhibited impressive ball circulation and precise passing, with a strong midfield led by Lexie Willis ’26, Lily Pokorny ’29, Eliza Lane ’28, and Margaux Walter ’27. Although it took them a little over half of the first period to find the back of the net, Ava Aponte scored the opening goal with an assist from Annie Fertitta. Piper Lundin ’26 quickly followed up with two additional goals, ending the first half with a commanding 3-0 lead.

The second half proved to be even more fruitful for the Martlets, as they added five more goals to their tally. Ava netted another goal, while Lily, Margaux, and Charlotte Lundin ’29 contributed with several scores of their own. The match concluded with an impressive 8-0 victory, highlighting the Martlets’ superior performance throughout the game.

The Grit and Grace award was given to the entire team, with special recognition to Eliza Reilly ’27, whose remarkable speed consistently challenged the Taft defense.
