Martlets Fall to AOF

The thirds lacrosse team played neighboring Avon Old Farms for the second match up of the season. The weather couldn’t have been better for lacrosse as the boys took to the field, hungry for their first win of the season. The energy and intensity was high throughout the entire game. The Martlets quickly found the net for a great goal scored by Wayne Kelley '27 that was assisted by Arthur Lilley '27. Defensively the Martlets held firm in the first half with outstanding saves by Jordan Pham '27. Pham played the best game of his season so far by controlling the defense and clearing the ball. Will Gallagher '27. and Bennett Varo '27 both had tremendous games on defense, getting ground balls and thwarting the Avon attack. The boys battled hard in the second half and did not give up until the final whistle. Though the boys lost the game 4-1, they played with heart and intensity for the entire game. The next game will be played at Salisbury on 5/2.
