Martlets Fall to Loomis

The Martlets knew they had their work cut out for them when they welcomed one of the top programs in New England to Williams Hill. Despite a significant size and strength advantage, Westminster was ready to compete against Loomis and battled through a physical game. Our post players, Lilly Murphy ‘25, Delia Lockwood ‘26, and Kaitlyn Buda ‘27 worked hard to deny a very talented frontcourt. Unfortunately, the speed and athleticism of the Pelicans helped them build out and sustain a convincing lead. The Martlets never gave up and continued to seek out scoring opportunities, resulting in one of our most balanced score sheets of the season. The highlight of the game was a late-game three pointer from Melody El-Amin ‘27, which was worthy of a spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10!
