Martlets Fall to Suffield

After a team yoga session, the Martlets were feeling relaxed and ready for a Saturday match up against Suffield. Unfortunately, the Tigers were also ready and jumped out to a quick 20-point lead. The Martlets continued to battle, fueled by a strong offensive performance by Kaitlyn Buda ‘27 who scored 6 of her 11 points in the first half. Lauren Neuman ‘25 and Delia Lockwood ‘26 led our effort on the defensive end of the floor. However, Suffield capitalized off of the Martlets’ turnovers, earning fast break points, and finding open shooters. In the second half, Westminster struggled to sustain their competitive edge and allowed Suffield to build out a substantial lead. Lilly Murphy ‘25 executed well out of some pick-and-roll actions with Lauren and scored 4 points in the third quarter, but the Martlets were not able to sustain any momentum and fell to a talented Suffield team.
