Martlets Fall to Porter's
To start their final week of the season, the Martlets traveled to Farmington for a rescheduled match up against Miss Porter’s. In the early minutes, the Martlets received valuable contributions from Lauren Neuman ‘25, Gianna Monaco ‘27, and Eva Rodgers ‘25. Parker Perillo ‘26 worked hard to contain our opponent’s main offensive threat and Lilly Murphy ‘25 helped to secure key rebounds. As the game progressed, Miss Porters began finding open shots from beyond the arc and outworked the Martlets in the rebounding battle, providing multiple scoring chances on each possession. After injuring her wrist in the second quarter, Lauren was sidelined for the remainder of the game and Westminster had to navigate the remainder of the game without their floor general. Kaitlyn Buda ‘27 and Delia Lockwood ‘26 logged valuable minutes and combined for 13 points. Charlotte Tyler ‘28 also found some good scoring chances throughout the second half. Despite the loss, the team rallied for a post-game celebration of Coach Bailey’s birthday and will look forward to matching up with Deerfield on Wednesday.
