Martlets Fall to AOF

The Martlets returned to Kohn Squash Pavillion after having Saturday off to take on the Winged Beavers from Avon Old Farms. The Martlets played well overall but fell to a tougher team from Avon Old Farms. Playing without 2 players due to illness, the Martlets won at #1 and #2 with Will Henry ‘26 and Mathias Seber ‘26 winning in straight games to start the Martlets on the right foot. Unfortunately, the Martlets could not keep up the momentum going and lost the remaining matches, many of them in 4 game matches. Crosby Cutler ‘27, Daniel Frid ‘27, Issac Kwon ‘28 all lost competitive 4 game matches that could have easily flipped. Alessio Suarez ‘28 and Sam Jiang ‘28 fought hard against strong opponents in their 3 game losses. Zach Li ‘27 played two exhibition matches on the day, splitting his results against Avon’s #8 and #9. The Martlets will be right back to action on Wednesday when we travel to Hotchkiss.
